Married in July 2021, Omar and Rhona believe that marriage is their first ministry; a reflection of Christ love for the church. Their home is built on mutual support, balancing the demands of ministry while prioritising their relationship, rest and family well-being.
Omar's path to ministry was shaped by radical transformation-from atheism to a powerful encounter with Christ. Since then, he has dedicated his life to preaching, teaching and equipping believers, serving in various roles before being ordained as an elder and taking oversight of ARC 2.0. Rhona has always carried a strong heart for service, preaching, prayer and pastoral care and together, they minister as a team, complimenting each other's gifts and strengths.
ARC 2.0 began as an overflow service within ARC Forest Gate, designed to accommodate the growing number of attendees. With 400+ people filling the sanctuary, every Sunday, it became clear that many were getting lost in the crowd. The initial plan was to create a second service, but God had bigger plans.
On the first day of ARC 2.0, what started with 35 committed members quickly grew to over 100 attendees. This unexpected growth demanded structure, leading to the urgent formation of ministry teams. However, as the service developed, it became evident that ARC 2.0 had become its own church and eventually they shifted into its own church, in its own location with its own vision.
